ICROSS® Care & Maintenance

Take care of your watercraft. Extend every adventure.

Regular maintenance ensures long-term performance and durability for your ICROSS® inflatable watercraft and accessories.

After Each Use

  • Rinse and clean the watercraft and all accessories with mild soap and water.
  • Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensure the watercraft is completely dry before storing.
  • Remove sand or gravel from the valve area.

Storage

  • Store your watercraft in a clean, dry, ventilated place.
  • Allow it to dry fully before long-term storage to prevent mildew or odor.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or harsh weather.
  • For extended storage: clean, dry, and fully deflate the watercraft.
  • Do not store in extreme temperatures: above 66°C or below –23°C.

Leak Detection

If air pressure drops:

  1. Start by checking the valve.
  2. Apply a mild soap-and-water solution to the valve area. Bubbles indicate a leak.
  3. Ensure the valve is properly tightened.
  4. If the issue persists, the valve may require replacement.

If the valve is fine:

  • Apply soapy water across the watercraft in sections.
  • Look for bubble formation indicating a punctureMark leaking areas for repair.
  • If nothing appears, inflate fully and listen for escaping air.

Repair Procedure

You will need: PVC patch, adhesive, masking tape, rubbing alcohol, lint-free cloth, weight, protective gloves.

  1. Fully deflate the watercraft and lay it flat.
  2. Cut a patch at least 7 cm larger than the damaged area.
  3. Clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol.
  4. Mask the area to avoid excess glue.
  5. Apply three thin coats of adhesive to both surfaces, allowing 5 minutes between each.
  6. After the third coat, wait 10–15 minutes, then apply the patch.
Use a roller to press firmly and seal all edges.
  7. Place a weight on top and let cure for 12 hours.
  8. Apply a final layer of adhesive around the edges and allow 4 additional hours to cure.

Wait 24 hours before re-inflating the watercraft. Perform repairs in a well-ventilated area.
